My wife and I, after some encouragement from the late Peggy Rae (Cornlands), started showing Baileydale Primrose Of Rosebery (Bailey), a homebred bitch sired by CH Cornlands Wellington JW with some success, gaining her stud book number. So, our love of our hobby began. We repeated the mating and Baileydale Custard Cream JW went on to win 2 x RCC’s. Bailey was mated to SH CH Trentwith Sir Winston and produced our first CC winner, Baileydale Bon Bon JW. Bon Bon sired our first Champion, Bilbo Baggins By Baileydale JW ShCM, who is the sire of INT CH Baileydale Parker JW ShCM.

In 2007 we were very fortunate to have choice of a puppy from a super litter at Sandylands, introducing a new line to our kennel. Sandylands Spring Blossom For Baileydale JW ShCM, winner of 2x RCC,s. Blossom has proven to be an excellent brood bitch, when mated to SH CH INT IR SH CH Carpenny Made A Million produced us SH CH Baileydale Miss Busybody JW, Baileydale Miss Giggles JW, 2x RCC’s and Baileydale Blaze A Trail who has sired many winners in the show ring. We have over the years shown and bred many Junior Warrant and Show Certificate Of Merit winners. We are proud to of owned or bred more than 20 dogs that have been awarded their Kennel Club stud book numbers.

I have had the pleasure of judging in The Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Germany, USA, Russia, Scotland and Southern Ireland.

I am delighted to be asked to judge at The Swedish Labrador Retriever Club Show and I am very much looking forward to the appointment.

I had my first labrador, a yellow, in 1969, when serving the army in Northern Ireland, attached to the Battalion Guard Dog section. She went on to win consistently in the ring and at obedience.

Soon to follow, a black bitch who proved to be a good dual purpose, winning on the bench and field, as did her daughter, who also, proved more than capable in both, as have a great number of my dogs over the years.

My current lines started in 1984, which have produced consistant winners in every litters at home and abroad, which includes CH Mandamay Bric-A-Brac, along with Mandamay Follow The Bear J.W. Again both were excellent game finders. “Ted” (Bear) , a full brother to Mandamay Fly By Night (X Res. CC ). The sisters Mandamay Bella de Jour, (Res. CC) Israel , CH Mandamay Eternity, Mandamay Jenny Penny (Rec.CC), Mandamay Muse (Res.CC). Apart from “Ted”, all black. A yellow, as were Mandamay Fredde Le Grand, JW SH CH and his sister Mandamay Beyonce SH CH. Also a mention for Mandamay Caretaker, who was owned by Annual´s kennel and who has been influential on some Swedish lines.

I first judged in 1974 and have had the fortune to have judged in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Austria, Italy Switzerland, Moldova and South Africa.

I class it as an honour to be invited to judge at the Swedish Labrador Retriever Club, and look forward to this appointment.
